Pastor's Training Institute

The rain has begun to decrease in Addis, and we are now able to resume the training of the church planters. We will proceed with round six of the Institute in October; we depart on the 15th to begin training on the 17th.
Two crucial doctrines will be covered this time around. Chuck Baggett, an elder at Christ Community Church, will teach the Doctrine of Salvation. The other emphasis will be the Work of the Holy Spirit, and I will teach this section. Both of these doctrines are terribly misunderstood in the Ethiopian evangelical culture, and this trip will serve as a good opportunity to deal with the misconceptions and wrong applications of these wonderful doctrines.
I appreciate your prayers concerning the preparation, logistics, and actual training for this round of PTI. In addition to the training, I will be meeting with the leaders of the Addis Kidan denomination and elders from another African country to discuss a more formal partnership for the training and planting of new churches in Ethiopia and Northeast Africa.
